Curb appeal that earns the 5-star review.
Lawn care for Airbnb and VRBO operators across Central Ohio. Turnover-window scheduling, photo confirmation on every visit, remote-owner coordination via text and email. Buckeye Lake, Logan, and Hocking Hills adjacent properties.
What an STR operator actually needs from a lawn vendor
A short-term rental lives or dies on the first 60 seconds after a guest pulls into the driveway. Listing photos sell the booking, but curb condition on arrival sets the review. Long grass at the front edge, dandelions in the strip between the driveway and the entry, sticks across the parking pad — every one of those is a half-star reduction in your average rating, and Airbnb's ranking algorithm punishes that compoundingly.
At the same time, STR operators have a coordination problem most lawn vendors don't think about. The mowing has to happen inside the cleaning crew's turnover window, not when it's convenient for the route. The owner may live in Pittsburgh, Denver, or Cincinnati and never see the property. The mower never gets a friendly homeowner walking out with iced tea to confirm the work — which means photo evidence becomes the entire trust mechanism. The right vendor builds around all of that.
What's typically included on an STR contract
Service locked into Sunday afternoon or Monday morning by default — landing inside the standard checkout-to-check-in gap. Custom windows for properties with weekday flips.
Front, back, fire pit, parking pad, entry walk — sent to your phone or email same day. The evidence layer that replaces an on-site owner check.
First-impression zones — driveway approach, entry walk, mailbox bed — get mow, edge, and blow-off attention before back-yard finish work.
Storm fallout, branches, and yard debris cleared as part of the visit. Guests don't trip on a stick walking to the hot tub.
Crisp bed edges around the entry, fire pit, and patio so the listing's hero photo lines up with what the guest actually sees.
Grass trimmed back from the pad, leaves and seed heads kept off the cover, no overgrowth crowding the gathering zone.
All scheduling and confirmations via text, email, or your PMS preference. You never have to be on site, never leave a check, never wait on a callback.
Same-day or next-day response for short-notice bookings when capacity allows. Recurring STR clients get priority over one-off calls.
Annual mulch refresh and mid-season bed pull to keep the listing photo true. Quoted separate from weekly mow so you can budget by line item.
Patio, walk, hot tub deck, and exterior soft-wash quoted as add-on visits — usually spring and mid-summer for high-turnover properties.
Monthly invoice via Wave — card or ACH, automatic. One invoice per property or consolidated if you operate multiple Central Ohio rentals.
Heavy weather aftermath cleared from access paths and parking ahead of incoming guests. Coordinated with the cleaning crew where they overlap.
Why an STR-aware vendor matters here
A generic mowing route picks the day that fits the truck's path, not the day that fits your turnover schedule. That's a fine model for a homeowner on a quiet street — it's a failure mode for an Airbnb. If the mower shows up Tuesday and the guest checks in Sunday, five days of growth have happened between the visit and the listing photo getting tested in person. The arrival experience is mediocre and the review reflects it.
We build STR routes around the property's calendar first. Most operators land on Sunday afternoon or Monday morning slots, which is also when our route capacity is widest because residential weekly mowing runs Tuesday through Friday. The lawn is freshly cut roughly 24 hours before the next guest pulls in — which is the only timing that actually moves the review needle.
The photo report matters too, and for a reason most owners don't realize until they've been burned. When a guest leaves a one-star review claiming "the yard was overgrown," your defense is either a same-day photo set from the lawn vendor or your word against theirs. Hosts who already run smart-locks, noise sensors, and exterior cameras understand the value of documentation — the lawn visit photo log fits the same operational pattern. We send it without asking.
Pricing approach
STR properties are quoted per property after a walkthrough or satellite measure. Residential mowing starts at $40 minimum; STR pricing reflects the turnover-window slot, photo reporting, and remote-coordination overhead. Most lake-rental and cabin-style properties land in a per-visit range that scales with lot size, slope, and access. Multi-property operators get a single consolidated invoice and a portfolio rate when there are three or more sites under one ownership.

Short-term rental FAQs
Can you service the property between guests on turnover days?
Yes. Most STR routes are scheduled Sunday afternoon or Monday morning to land inside the standard checkout-to-check-in window. We confirm the exact turnover schedule at onboarding and lock the slot into the contract so the cleaning crew, lawn crew, and next guest don't collide in the driveway.
Do you send photo confirmation after each visit?
Yes. Every STR visit ends with a photo set sent to your phone or email — front, back, fire pit area, parking pad, walk to entry. The same evidence you'd show a guest if they questioned curb condition or claimed something wasn't done. For out-of-state owners it's the difference between trusting the service ran and hoping it did.
Can you respond to last-minute bookings or emergency cleanups?
Within reason, yes. If a property gets a same-day or next-day booking and needs an emergency mow or storm-debris cleanup before check-in, we work it into the route when there's capacity. STR clients on a recurring contract get priority over one-off emergency calls. Same-day response is never guaranteed during peak weather.
We're out-of-state — how does communication and billing work?
All coordination runs through text, email, or your preferred property management software. Monthly invoicing via Wave (card or ACH), one invoice per property or consolidated if you operate multiple. You never have to be on site, never have to leave a check, never have to call. Photo reports prove the work happened.
Do you cover Buckeye Lake, Logan, and Hocking Hills adjacent rentals?
Yes — Buckeye Lake (Fairfield County), Logan and the Hocking Hills adjacent areas in southern Fairfield and northern Hocking County, and the Pickaway and Ross county lake rentals are all inside our weekly route footprint. Cabin rentals deeper in Hocking Hills proper are case-by-case depending on access and route density.
